Our focus dictates our feelings.
But our questions dictate our focus.
So it's important to ask good questions.
All day everyday, we asking questions (in our head) in an attempt to better understand the situations we're in. The problem is, most of the questions we ask force us to find the negative:
Why am I such an idiot?
Why can't I figure this out?
Why can't I improve?
What do I always stuff it up?
This style of question just ensures your brain finds a way to make you feel like shit.
But you don't need to keep doing that.
You are completely free to change the way you feel, by changing what you ask.
Don't believe me?
Next time you're flat, frustrated or beating yourself up over a mistake you've made, ask a better question:
How is this helping me grow?
What's it teaching me?
How will this help you improve?
Not only will it help you feel better in the moment, it will serve as inspiration for you to improve rather than just beating yourself up.
It's very rarely the situation that's the problem, but the way you're choosing to see it.
So ask better questions.
