For the last few weeks, I've been learning callisthenics.
What that means is I'm doing a heap of exercises that I've never done before and every muscle in my body is sore. My body doesn't seem to care that I've been in the gym for the last six months doing weights.
The new exercises have shocked it.
But pain is fairly normal when we start anything new.
If you don't know that, you won't want to continue.
Instead, you'll go back to what's familiar, comfortable and not so strenuous.
Too many of us forget that the initial pain is simply what growth feels like.
As you delve into your new venture this year, regardless of what it is, remember that the soreness isn't a sign that you should stop.
It's just your body adjusting to its new requirements.
So don't let it stop you.
