My five favourite strength exercises

Those of you have been reading my posts for a couple of months would be fairly familiar with the fact that I believe so many aspects of modern life have been over-complicated.

Particularly when it comes to exercise.

There are endless programs available for us to choose from when it comes to getting a gym routine started, and so often the abundance of these programs paralyse us and prevent us from even starting.

The good news is that exercise is so much easier than you may believe. It's far more about consistency than it is about fancy programs. So, with that said, if you're looking to get rolling with a routine and not convinced you need a gym membership, you're probably right.

Here are a few good exercises you can do at your local park. These are my five favourites:

Chinups - 5 sets of maximum reps

Dips - 5 sets of maximum reps

Squats - 5 sets of 25 reps

Plank - 5 sets of 60 seconds

Pushups - 5 sets of 25

It sounds too simple to build strength.

But I promise you if you're consistent you'll be amazed at your progress.

Like my Mum always used to tell me...

Keep it simple.
